Whilst Adventure Hunt comes in packs of 6 and Detective mystery in packs of 10, they are also a different difficulty and duration.

Adventure Hunt is our most popular range and is perfect for those wanting a fun puzzle game to accompany their event. The 3D printed contents of Adventure Hunt are more tactile and intricate and work well in a wider variety of groups.

Detective Mystery is a bit more involved and will take longer to solve. While it is suitable for all ages and not overly complex, it does require more of the group to participate (most groups successfully solve the mystery, but time to solve can vary).

Ultimately, either range is sure to be a hit for you and your party!

The bonbon wrapping paper, paper contents and party hat are 100% recyclable.

We use PLA for 3D printing of feature content pieces. PLA is a renewable thermoplastic derived from the starch of plants such as corn, sugar cane and sugar beet.

In 2024, we shifted from the traditional loud snaps to a more relaxed experience with silent snaps. This was in response to the evolving preferences of our diverse clientele and a commitment to environmental sustainability, and was not only about transforming our products but also about creating a more inclusive and eco-friendly festive experience for all.

It was important to us that we didn’t just remove the snaps, but instead innovated and created something that could still deliver the “tug-of-war” style resistance we are all used to. So, we have developed an eco-friendly snap that will produce a quieter sound, while still providing resistance as you pull the bonbons apart. You can read more here.

The bonbons are hand made by a small family business in Brisbane. Feature contents of the Adventure Hunt and Detective Mystery bonbons are all designed and 3D printed by us.

Packs of six Adventure Hunt are currently available, so what if there are:

2 - 5 of us?

Simply open every bonbon and one or a few lucky people can play more than one role! Just be sure to open up all six in each pack, as you will need all six to find the treasure.

7 - 8 of us?

The packs are still suitable for more than six people. You could easily enjoy them with up to eight people and just have a couple of people team up.

Alternatively, you could get two packs and have two groups of four work on different puzzles.

We recommend two packs and splitting the group into two groups.

You can either opt to have two of the same theme and compare how the two groups go if you’re feeling competitive, or you can pick two different themes and have people pick the theme they would prefer.

You can apply the same reasoning as above and just add more packs as needed.

Yes, both a solution (via a QR-code) and a narrative-themed guide are inside the pack.

All packs of a certain theme are the same (e.g. Space theme always has the same puzzle to be solved and there are the same set of six bonbons contained within each set).

Each theme has completely different artefacts and puzzles inside (e.g. the Space and Pirates individual bonbons and story are different) but they follow a similar style and challenge difficulty.

While it depends on your group, we typically recommend 10-20 minutes.

Upon receiving your photo, we will create a custom-size engraving based on the number of pieces you have ordered. Each piece will be approximately 4-5 cm in length and width, so the final dimensions of your portraits will depend on the number of pieces you order and the photo you provide. The engraving will be divided into the number of pieces you have ordered. The sizes listed under the variant options are an approximation only, as we strive to not crop your photo at all and maintain the original photo ratio.

The reverse side of each puzzle piece will be engraved with a number that corresponds to a number on the frame. We then coat the pieces in a clear protectant and package them securely for transport.

Along with your bonbon order, you will also receive an acrylic frame with a teak-stained wooden border, with instructions on how to set-up the portrait frame and an instructional pamphlet for your event attendees. We also provide two complimentary, black permanent markers for your friends, family or colleagues to write on the back of their pieces, so no other equipment is required from you. 

Once all the pieces are signed and put in place, you can place the provided acrylic front on top of the puzzle and secure it with the fasteners bordering the frame. We provide a length of wire, pre-crimped for your particular frame that can be used to hang the frame on the wall. Details and how-to instructions are provided for all of this with your order, so you don’t have to worry about a thing!

We recommend using a high resolution, digital image with minimal clutter in the background (busy backgrounds tend to make the main subjects less distinctive). Avoid using screenshots or saved images from social media platforms like Facebook, as they tend to have low quality.

Images with high contrasting elements can really elevate the final engraving, but understand that engravings will not have colour. For an idea on how your image will look, you can use a filter on your phone or computer to see the image in Black & White. 

If you provide an image with a portrait aspect ratio, the engraving and frame will be portrait and if it is a landscape aspect ratio, the engraving and frame will be landscape. 

We may remove or slightly mute the background of images that are distracting from the focus subjects, so please let us know if the background of your image is important to you. 

We coat all puzzle pieces in a clear protectant, which protects them from water damage, minor spills or staining. 

We completely understand that you or an event attendee may lose or damage their puzzle piece before adding it to the frame. While this is uncommon, we don’t want it to take away from your experience, so please let us know after your event if a piece has gone missing or been damaged. We can replace it at a cost of $10.00 per piece. 

The production wait-time for our portrait puzzle is currently 1-2 weeks.

We manufacture the portrait puzzles here in Brisbane, Australia and there is a large amount of customization with this product. As such, we will work our hardest to get your order out as soon as possible.

Once prepared, your order will be dispatched with Australia Post and should arrive to you within 3-7 business days.

Step 3: Choose "Yes" if you would like the Portrait Puzzle. Upload the photo you would like engraved and let us know what text you would like below the portrait (leave blank if you do not want text).

Step 4: Add the number of bonbons you need for your wedding (number of guests) and checkout through our secure online portal.

Make sure you order enough bonbons for every guest, we cannot adjust the portrait puzzle once manufactured. The puzzle is divided into the exact number of bonbons you order. If in doubt, we recommend adding a few extra, so that no one misses out. Please let us know within 48 hours of submitting your order if your number of guests changes, as we cannot offer full refunds or changes beyond this time. 

Step 5: We will process your order and let you know if there are any issues. Manufacturing lead time is 6-8 weeks due to the custom nature of these products.

We accept cancellations of any pre-stocked item, including Adventure Hunt, Detective Mystery, Date Night and Pet Bonbons.

For our custom-made products, we cannot accept returns on any Portrait Puzzle or Wedding Bonbon order. 

Within the first two days of your order being placed, we have begun design preparation and ordered consumable items that cannot be refunded, so all refund or change requests MUST be made within 48 hours of placing your order. 

For events that have been cancelled, we can either send the products that have been completed or process a 20% refund - the value being what is left after the stock, manufacturing and labour cost.
